Summary:

As spiked seltzer emerged as the fastest-growing category in adult beverage, Equator collaborated with Walmart to create the new Sparkli brand with a focus on engaging a sought-after millennial market. By communicating flavor and lifestyle while creating a distinctive brand, Sparkli emulates all things fresh, sparkling, clean, and modern.

Aiming to engage both women and men, we explored bold and impactful type while using the can’s silver substrate to our advantage, choosing colors which “pop” and stand apart from the category majority, who use white.

Patterns create a retro-yet-modern feel, while we communicated it’s “Guilt-Free” quality subtly on the top of the can, also drawing attention to the Gluten-Free and Made with Real Cane Sugar callouts. Developed not just to look good on-shelf in cartons and corrugated trays, the design is also eye-catching in a can, intended to create intrigue when seen by fellow spiked seltzer drinkers.
